Available Data Sources

We pride ourselves on helping our customers retrieve and utilize the data they need to make decisions and improve processes. To succeed in this goal, we often collect and report data from many different data sources. Below is a list of primary data sources we use but please do not hesitate to reach out to us for additional questions you may have. 

University Data – We report on a large range of university data sourced from Banner and can help you with your data needs. Publicly available data is present on our website under Facts & Figures. If you are unable to find what you are looking for on our website, please reach out to us through the Data Request Form as we provide over 300 custom reports each year!

IPEDS – IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) is a collection of publicly available variables reported by all institutions participating in federal student aid programs. Feel free to explore the IPEDS resources listed below. IPEDS data is available to the public and provides many different ways to access their data. We coordinate and submit 10 different IPEDS reports each year so please reach out to us if you need help navigating the resources available.

National Student Clearinghouse Student Tracker – The NSC is a nonprofit organization that collects and provides access to student enrollment and graduation data across the majority of higher education institutions. The Student Tracker application allows us to query student data to better understand the college careers of our applicants, track student enrollment, and perform longitudinal analyses. Please reach out to us if you would like to discuss the possibilities of using Student Tracker data.

Common Data Set - “The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson’s, and U.S. News & World Report. The combined goal of this collaboration is to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student’s transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.” This information comes from http://www.commondataset.org.
